Black Sheep Boots - Beer Success!

Black Sheep Brewery is celebrating another great success after it's annual Boots and Beer Walking Festival raised more than £1320 for Swaledale Mountain Rescue.

The event, which is in its seventh year, has gained a loyal following and attracted over 500 walkers this year, a new record for the festival. Held from 12-14 September in Hawes and the beautiful surroundings of Upper Wensleydale, the weekend-long festival comprised of plenty of walking, and beer!

Although the summer wasn't exactly what was hoped for this year, the weather over the weekend was great and the festival was a huge success and thoroughly enjoyed by all who took part. With a traditional brass band welcoming walkers into The Farmers Arms at Muker people were in very high spirits, even after all that exercise.

Marketing Manager at Black Sheep Brewery, Helen Allison says: 'We were inundated with requests for tickets for this year's Black Sheep Boots and Beer Walking Festival, including lots of new walkers, in addition to many returning ramblers, some of whom have been every year. The festival was great and was enjoyed by all, and we are pleased that the money raised is going to such a deserving cause.'
