Riggwelter

Named after the local Yorkshire Dales farming term ‘riggwelted’, where a sheep has rolled onto its back and is unable to get back up. A Dark Strong Ale clocking in at 5.9%, you might be able to guess why.

Layers of roasted and toasted malts build a wonderfully complex base with notes of chocolate and coffee, with our house yeast creating subtle red fruit and banana notes. Classic British Goldings balance these flavours with a spicy, earthy bitterness.

A breed apart.
