Celebrity chef & host of BBC1’s Saturday Kitchen James Martin treated viewers to his impression of a ‘Rigged Sheep’ in last weekends show (aired 20.10.12). For those of you who missed it (and James Martin’s impression of a rigged sheep) follow the link below and skip to about 28mins 20secs: BBC Saturday Kitchen James, was using a bottle of our Black Sheep Ale or ‘Yorkshire beer’ as he called it, to make a batter for his cod recipe. He then went on to talk about our Riggwelter ale, before explaining to his bemused celebrity guests the origin of the name ‘Riggwelter’, he said; “It’s named after a sheep which has been rigged – I’ll show you – sheep walking around normally…  “One, that’s been rigged – it means it can’t get up…  James: That’s technically it, once a sheep goes on it’s back it can’t get back up without assistance. Madhur Jaffrey (guest): why does he go on his back? James: because he’s had too much beer that’s why!
