To all the cheese fans out there…. This is the one for you!
We have teamed up with the Wensleydale creamery and selected four of their best cheese. . Their creamy, crumbly & full of flavour Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese.
Handcrafted by their master cheese-makers at The Wensleydale Creamery, in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, to a time-honoured recipe using milk from local farms. Wensleydale cheese can be made anywhere. Only Yorkshire Wensleydale is made in Wensleydale.
Rich, creamy mature Cheddar cheese, carefully combined with the roasted malt flavour of Riggwelter, Black Sheep’s strong Yorkshire Ale.
It doesn’t stop there we are finishing it off with a special collaboration with our local neighbour in Masham, ‘Rosebud preserves’ who have prepared a classic fruity pickle that will go lovely with our delicious cheese biscuits .
Then for the icing on the cake you can serve it all on our locally made branded wooden cheese board and Knife set.
All this accompanied bespoke with our award winning beers:
Blitzen- this ruby Christmas ale is brewed with cascade and Golding’s hops plus light and dark muscovado sugar to give the beer a distinctive Christmassy richness.
Riggwelter- has a wonderfully complex palate with hints of coffee, bananas and liquorice combining for a classic Golding hop finish
