In August 2021, we began a new partnership with local EFL League 2 outfit, Harrogate Town AFC as the official beer of the club.
Beer and sport runs through our veins here at Black Sheep Brewery, we’re lucky enough to have some amazing teams and athletes who call Yorkshire their home, Harrogate Town being one of them.
Following the Covid-19 pandemic, we wanted to work closely with more local sports teams as they themselves rebuild after a turbulent 18 months. One of these local teams, who share the same values as Black Sheep of community, family and Yorkshire are of course, Harrogate Town.
‘Town’ were promoted to EFL League 2 in 2020 after a glorious 19/20 season. Their journey to league football has been truly inspiring and as their local brewery, we wanted to help support them and keep them climbing the leagues. So in August 2021, we partnered with the club as their official beer.
In addition to being the official beer of the club, in August 2021 their newly built car park terrace was renamed ‘The Black Sheep Brewery Stand’ and houses some of the clubs most lively fans! Black Sheep Best Bitter is the exclusive cask ale at the ground so whenever you visit the Envirovent Stadium, you’ll be welcomed with a pint of proper Yorkshire ale.
