08 March 2011
Category: Brewery News

The Black Sheep Brewery in Masham is an official sponsor of the Festival, which runs from March 16 to 27 at the National Media Museum in Bradford, and other satellite venues around the region. So, moviegoers descending on the city for a film feast of classic and contemporary cinema can tempt their taste buds with one of Yorkshire’s best brews in the form of award-winning Black Sheep Ale. Not only will the brewery’s Black Sheep Ale be in generous supply behind the bar as the Official Festival Beer, but its logo will appear on all publicity material for the event. It will also appear in the festival brochure honours page, pre-screening slides, pop up banners and more than 10,000 drip mats – meaning movie lovers who will attend the event from across the UK will have no excuse to miss out on the popular pint. Over 12 days, the Festival will showcase more than 100 features from countries across the world including France, Romania, Australia, USA, Argentina, Portugal and Japan, as well as horror films and the best of new British cinema. The Festival will open with Woody Allen’s You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger starring Anthony Hopkins. The Closing Night Gala will be Oren Moverman’s The Messenger starring Ben Foster, Woody Harrelson, Samantha Morton and Steve Buscemi. Jo Theakston, Marketing Director of Black Sheep Brewery said: “The Bradford International Film Festival brings the best of world cinema to Yorkshire, so it’s only fitting that moviegoers are welcomed with one of Yorkshire’s finest beers. “We’re delighted to be sponsoring this event, which gets bigger and more popular every year and wish all concerned every success.”
