Temporary Accounts Assistant (12 months cover)

Location: Masham, North Yorkshire

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller the role would be ideally suited to an individual looking to further their career in a finance environment. The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following duties:

  • Prepare and process journals
  • Prepare monthly volume reports
  • Analyse variances to budget
  • Prepayments and Accruals
  • Assist with maintaining the fixed asset register
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly departmental reports
  • Assist with Purchase Ledger and Credit Control duties
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Audit preparation
  • Cash handling
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis

Skills

The successful candidate will be expected to have worked in a finance environment for a minimum of twelve months and possess the following skills and experience:

  • A confident communicator
  • Excel experience is essential
  • Sage/Opera experience would be advantageous
