Black Sheep Brewery’s Managing Director Paul Theakston became a star of the small screen as he took the presenters and film crew of ‘Which Way To’ through what makes the perfect pint at the King’s Arms in Askrigg; ‘Creating the perfect pint is a true art to master; from sourcing the best hops and barley, through the brewing process itself, to the storage, pour and presentation. Black Sheep Brewery has been perfecting the process for more than 16 years,’ said Paul.

Black Sheep Brewery already has a strong presence in the Canadian market, exporting over 84,000 bottles a year. Canada’s travel adventure show, ‘Which Way To’, sees the team travelling the globe and sampling the best beers the world has to offer along the way. The show is due to be screened on Canadian national television later this year.

The Brewery is no stranger to success and has won a string of accolades in recent times. Black Sheep Ale was awarded a 2 star Gold Award at the Great Taste Awards 2008, and Black Sheep Brewery was proud to be awarded ‘Brewery of the Year’ for the second year running by The Good Pub Guide in 2007.
