Our Schedule & Itinerary


Friday 7th September 2012 – Festival Registration

The weekend begins with registration at The Fountain, Market Place, Hawes between 3pm and 9pm. Please bring along with you:

  • Walking Festival Booklet (this will be sent out in August 2011)
  • Your "Walker Number" (on your booking confirmation letter)
  • Completed Indemnity Form, if not sent when booking

Alternatively, walkers will be able to register on Saturday morning at The Fountain between 8:30am and 11:30am. Please note you will not be able to join any walk until you have registered. Once registered your will be given your Tally Card, Goody Bag and Boots and Beer t-shirt.

The Black Sheep Brewery team would like to invite you to a "Welcome Event" at the Wensleydale Creamery, Hawes. This is the perfect start to your Boots and Beer Walking Festival, with welcome talks from the Black Sheep Team, Mark Reid, and Country Walking Magazine.


Saturday 8th September 2012

Register for either the "Long", "Medium" or "Short" walks at the Registration Desks at:

  • Hawes – Fountain Hotel
  • Bainbridge – Rose and Crown
  • The Kings Arms - Askrigg

Free shuttle bus throughout the day between these locations.

Afternoon activities at the Fountain Hotel in Hawes – after your walk, why not pop in to the Fountain Hotel for a refreshing pint of Black Sheep beer from the bar, or you can visit...

  • Cotswold Outdoor "gear tent"
  • Black Sheep Brewery Sheepy Shop
  • "The Inn Way" bookshop
  • Country Walking Magazine
  • Feeling Good Foot Massages and Reflexology (a small fee applies)

After a tiring day walking what could be better than relaxing at one of our Evening Entertainment venues – details to be confirmed in 2012.
