Welcome to the Black Sheep Brewery
Boots & Beer Walking Festival in the Yorkshire Dales

What could be better than a weekend of great walks, beautiful countryside, fantastic beer and excellent entertainment? The 8th annual Black Sheep Boots and Beer Walking Festival is set to be our biggest yet. With a jam packed programme to suit all levels of walkers it is an event not to be missed!

The ticket price for this year's festival is £20.00 per person and includes a choice of 14 superb walks over the weekend, ranging from short to long, specially written by Mark Reid, author of ‘The Inn Way’ books. The walks are self-guided with full back up including detailed route descriptions, OS maps, checkpoints and back markers provided by the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority

Walks start from either Hawes (3 walks per day), Bainbridge (2 walks per day), or Aysgarth (2 walks per day). There will be a free daytime ‘shuttle bus’ linking the three registration desks.

As part of the ticket price you will also receive a superb Goody Bag and an exclusive Boots and Beer T-shirt, as well as a Walker's Tally Card which will include a Pub Trail Collector Card. These items will be issued at the Festival registration.

New for 2009

Explore the Yorkshire Dales like never before with Mark Reid, author of ‘The Inn Way’ guidebooks. These full day guided hill-walks will take you across the high fells and moors of the Yorkshire Dales, away from paths and tracks. Ideal for brushing up on your navigation skills! Mark Reid is a qualified hill-walking guide. Walks start from Hawes on Saturday (9:30am - 6pm) and Sunday (9:30am - 4pm). 15 participants per walk. No dogs. Full walking gear required. £10 per person, per walk plus full weekend ticket.
