7th Boots and Beer Walking Festival is a Great Success!

Friday 12th September to Sunday 14th September 2008

This year's 7th Boots and Beer Walking Festival was the biggest and best yet! With over 500 walkers filling Upper Wensleydale it was a fantastic weekend which was enjoyed by all who attended.

With a weekend of fantastic walks written by Mark Reid of Innway Publication, fine Black Sheep ales and support from Country Walking Magazine, Cotswold Outdoors, Wensleydale Creamery, Harrogate Spa Water, Yorkshire Dales National Park, Thatchers Cider and the Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team who provided an invaluable service to ensure all walkers returned safely; it was a weekend not to be missed! Throughout the weekend a fantastic £1500 was raised for the Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team which will contribute to their vehicle replacement fund.

The date for next year's festival is 11th - 13th September 2009 so make sure you put the date in your diary!
