Welcome to the 11th Black Sheep Brewery
Boots & Beer Walking Festival 2012
Friday 7th September – Sunday 9th September 2012
We would like to welcome you to the 11th Boots and Beer Walking Festival! We have been working hard to bring you a fantastic programme of events for this year's festival including, great walks in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, new Evening Entertainment and of course our award winning ales!
The ticket price for this year's festival is £27.50 (same as 2011) per person and includes a choice of 14 superb walks over the weekend, ranging from short to long, specially written by Mark Reid, author of 'The Inn Way' books. The walks are self-guided with full back up, including detailed route descriptions, OS maps, checkpoints and back markers provided by the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority.
Walks start from either Hawes (3 walks per day), Askrigg (2 walks per day), or Aysgarth (2 walks per day). There will be a free daytime 'shuttle bus' linking the three registration desks.
As part of the ticket price you will also receive a superb Goody Bag and an exclusive Boots and Beer t-shirt, as well as a Walker's Tally Card which will include a Pub Trail Collector Card. These items will be issued at the Festival registration.
Technical t-shirt: Following the great success from our anniversary event in 2011, we are delighted to announce that we have decided to bring back the technical t-shirt upgrade for 2012! You again have the option to upgrade your standard Boots and Beer t-shirt (cotton) in your Goody bag to a technical t-shirt. This fantastic shirt uses NeotericTM textured fabric with inherent wickability which is perfect for walking at the Boots and Beer Festival. Upgrade your t-shirt for only £8.50!
Fell-Walking & navigation skills with Mark Reid: Explore the Yorkshire Dales like never before with Mark Reid, author of 'The Inn Way' guidebooks. This guided fell-walk will take you across the high fells and moors above Wensleydale, away from paths and tracks, to hidden valleys and rarely visited summits. Ideal for brushing up your navigation skills.
Full walking gear required as well as a packed lunch. £10 per person plus full weekend ticket. Walk starts at 12 noon, and will finish by 7pm. Limited to 20 participants. No dogs.
