The first in the range is “Ruddy Ram” which is a hand-crafted, 4% ABV Porter style session beer that’s exceptionally dark in colour with a rich, biscuity flavour. Created with cold winter nights in mind, this warming ale is brewed with a touch of barley and generous handfuls of chocolate malt, making it a deliciously comforting and slightly decadent drink to savour while toasting your toes in front of a roaring log fire.
Connoisseurs will particularly enjoy the notes of chocolate and liquorice, which are followed by the classic Black Sheep dry and refreshingly bitter finish - we hope you like it!
Did you know that the word ‘ruddle’ refers to the red iron ore used in dyeing and marking sheep? Having this glowing red complexion is commonplace in the winter months and we hope you will warm up with a pint of Ruddy Ram in a pub near you!
We use a touch of wheat which helps deliver the lovely creamy head and lacing down the glass - just what you would expect from a proper Yorkshire beer!
